Chat on the Couch: Hope for the Future

During our #WorldNGODay Celebrations, we spent some time talking to some of our guests about their inspiring work at their nonprofit organisations. Listen to their stories on our #ChatOnTheCouch series.

Our first guest is Vanessa Nelson, from Hope for the Future.

Hope for the Future is an NPO founded in 2002 by Vanessa Sauls Nelson, a mother desperate to understand her child’s learning disability. She educated herself to assist her child effectively and was open to not just learning how to assist him, but also supporting parents who were going through the same challenges.

In 2002 she became a vocal supporter of women experiencing gender-based violence. She assisted by talking to and encouraging these women, helping them gain protection orders and divorce applications.

The motto of Hope For The Future is To Educate, Eradicate and Eliminate

Today Hope for the Future runs 20 programmes to support their community.
